We have our first prompts!

If you haven't already, head over to http://hs-olympics.dreamwidth.org/ and check out both the round one prompt and the collab prompt!

Obviously for the collab round we all have to work together, and we'll think more about that at a later date, but are we going to collaborate on the first round prompt as well, or would people be more interested in working solo for these rounds?

i like collaborating for the main round c:

im just gonna pitch some ideas here

since there are 3 main rounds, do you guys want to split up so that like 3/4 people are assigned to each main round?
i assume everyone is going to want to submit something

or we can all put in an idea for what we want the round to be about and have a few people create what we discussed (are we gonna have a group chat or something btw)

okey im going to be akward, confussed and say
what does aberration mean? i have seriously no clue, yet i really want to be in on the collab round...
also for round 1 are you suppose to make something with gambling as its theme, and use your patron troll and not the ship?
and can you create something for both collab and round 1 or can you just be on one thing per round??
i am just really confussed about some of this

I have an idea for the first solo round, so I might do a little one-shot for that.

And we definitely need a group chat...

So, we all seem to be agreed on a group chat - is everyone free this weekend? Or at least the majority of us? Because I'll be going back home on Friday, and will have access to decent internet and a real computer so we can hold a tinychat or something?

If people want to work on their own, that's totally cool, but I'd still like it if they came to the group chats, because it'd be pretty redundant if we end up with three people working separately on pretty much the same idea.

Well, you could use the definition of aberration in a psychological way, with an alteration in mental state... And if you look at Aradia, it's arguable that through most of the comic so far she's had an aberration of the mind because she was, well, dead.
So, an entry from us could be an illustrated story of Sollux's perspective of how, despite the fact that she keeps changing and deviating from what everyone expects of her, he's still red for her?
Basically, we have to take the incredibly open themes, and tailor it to suit our needs, whilst making sure our entries are original enough that other teams won't necessarily come up with them!

The collab and round one are separate things!
It's all pretty well explained on the hso dreamwidth page, but to summarise the collab round isn't due until some time in August, and the round one is due in a few weeks - you can choose to collaborate or work separately for round one (which we'll be discussing in the group chat), but for the collab we all have to pitch in!
